PREGNANT AND NURSING DOGS may require 2-4 times the feeding amounts as adult dogs of the same weight, depending on litter size and stage of pregnancy or lactation. This product is meant to be fed to growing puppies and pregnant or nursing adult dogs. Puppies should be fed 3 meals per day up to 6 months of age and then twice a day. Provide daily amounts of food divided into the smaller meals. Moisten food until just soft for the early weaning period. Pick up left over food and discard in order to maintain freshness. As puppies grow teeth and can bite dry food, reduce the amount of water added to the food.
Transitioning to Natural Balance
When switching your dog's diet, we recommend that it be done gradually over a 7-10 day period. Replace 25% of the current diet with the new diet, every 2 - 3 days until they are fully transitioned.
