These guidelines are an initial recommendation for an average active adult dog. Adjust amounts as needed depending upon your dog’s age, activity and environment.
FOR PUPPIES: Introduce puppies to moistened Next Level dog food as soon as they will nibble at solid foods, which typically occurs at 3-4 weeks of age. To moisten, mix one part warm water, broth or milk to three parts Next Level. For optimal freshness, do not allow moistened food to sit more than 30 minutes. Let your puppy eat at will for 20 minutes during 4 mealtimes spaced evenly throughout the day until fully weaned. After weaning, continue to feed puppies moistened Next Level food up to 4 times a day. At one year old, use the recommended amounts as a guideline to daily feeding.
FOR PREGNANT AND LACTATING FEMALES: The nutritional needs of reproducing females may vary during gestation and lactation (consumption may increase by up to 4x). Provide the amount needed to maintain a healthy body condition.
TRANSITIONING TO NEXT LEVEL: To avoid dietary upset, allow 6-8 days to ease the transition from your dog’s current food to Next Level dog food. Gradually increase the amount of Next Level while decreasing the amount of your previous food until you’re exclusively feeding Next Level.
