Why does my chick need starter feed?
We formulate Starter feed for the nutritional needs of chicks 0-8 weeks of age. One of the most significant differences is that chicks need high protein to grow healthy bones and all those feathers. Plus, chicks need cracked grains for their smaller beaks.

Feed free choice as a complete diet at 20 weeks of age or when laying begins.
On average expect to feed ¼ lb of feed per bird per day.
Introduce new feed gradually.

Offer free-choice Cluckin’ Good Layer Grit to aid in the digestion of nutrients.
Offer free-choice Cluckin’ Good Oyster Shell for extra calcium to ensure strong eggshells.
